FACT Discount Card Scheme is to no longer continue..
An evaluation of the FACT Discount Card Scheme has been conducted with Families by Northumberland Children's Services. The evaluation looked at how often the card is used at sports/leisure centres and other venues in the county
Children's Services has been informed that some venues are no longer willing to accept the card. The outcome of the evaluation has concluded that the FACT Discount Card Scheme is not beneficial to enough families. For this reason, the decision has been taken to discontinue the scheme with immediate effect.

Durham County Cricket Club - The Riverside

Ever thought about getting involved in the exciting game of cricket? If the answer is yes, the this day is for you!
The day is FREE and is aimed at disabled children, disabled adults, their families and friends. There will be lots of different activites and different forms of cricket planned for the day ot suit all impairments and abilities, so the will be something for everyone!
You will also be able to sign up to participate in 6 weeks of FREE inclusive cricket coaching at Riverside.
The day will include, a chance to play all fors of cricket including, table cricket, kwik cricket, visually impaired and deaf cricket, continuous cricket and adapted cricket games. Competitions with plenty of prizes on offer, coaching by top cricket coaches and information on your local inclusive cricket clubs.

Open to all families. Cost £1 per swimmer. This session can get busy and noisy. At busy times swim session may be restricted to a 45 minute session. No booking required

With Kevin Dawson from Northumbria Fly fishing. Places must be booked. Transport is available from Collingwood School, which also must be booked - No cost. Sessions are restricted to children with additional needs or disabilities only

12th, 13th 19th & 20th August
10am until 3pm
An informal drop in session lasting from 10am until 3pm. Play area is enclosed, allowing the children to enjoy the aerial slide, and climbing apparatus without parents worrying about ‘stranger danger' and the child running off! Refreshment will be available. At 1.30pm on each day the swimming pool will be open to all children attending the session for an hour. Cost is £1 per swimmer. Sessions are restricted to children with additional needs or disabilities only
